Big congratulations to Michelle Crockett, who was recently named among Michigan Lawyers Weekly's Leaders in the Law, Class of 2020, and was also appointed to serve on the Board of Directors for the Detroit Regional LGBT Chamber of Commerce.  

Michelle is Miller Canfield's Hiring Chair and the firm's Diversity and Professional Development Principal, as well as a litigator in our Employment and Labor Group.

We're pleased to announce that, for the second year in a row, Pawel Chudzicki has been recognized in Chambers & Partners, a leading publisher of attorney and law firm rankings, as a Foreign Expert Based Abroad in the area of corporate and commercial law in Qatar. This rare honor recognizes attorneys who have expertise in a different jurisdiction from where they are based, and who are particularly highly regarded for international and cross-border work.

Congratulations to Scott Eldridge, who has been elected by principals of the firm to serve as one of Miller Canfield's five Managing Directors.

Eldridge is a member of Miller Canfield's Employment and Labor Group and serves as the firm's Lansing office resident director. He is a member and past chairman of the Michigan Chamber of Commerce's Health and Human Resources Committee. Eldridge joins the firm's other Managing Directors: Thomas Colis, Danielle Mason Anderson, Joseph Fazio and Amy Johnston.

We're happy to welcome Megan Baxter-Labut to our Bankruptcy Group. She'll be based in Detroit.

Megan's practice focuses on bankruptcy, insolvency, and commercial lending enforcement and litigation. She also has experience representing financial institutions and has participated in structuring, negotiating and documenting secured and unsecured commercial loans.

We're pleased to share that we've expanded our Chicago office with the hiring of three principal attorneys: Lance Tyson, Carson Veach and Glenn Weinstein.

In addition, Jacob Koering, Edward Rice, Steven Rotunno and Robert Zielinski have been named among the 2020 Illinois Super Lawyers by Super Lawyers Magazine.
