Julie Daniel represents lenders and borrowers in a variety of lending transactions, including syndicated credits, secured loans, acquisition financings and asset-based lending. She also advises lenders and borrowers regarding the application of the Personal Property Security Act ( Ontario) to their lending arrangements and the requirements that must be satisfied by secured parties and debtors. She negotiates with opposing counsel the best possible terms of all loan and security documents forming part of the transaction, based on each client’s needs and priorities. Julie also negotiates and drafts inter-creditor agreements with third-party lenders.

“I strive to approach each file in the most effective manner possible. Clear and concise communication is an integral part of this process. I tailor my approach to each client’s unique circumstances, and ultimately my goal is to provide a quality of service that exceeds their expectations.”
Julie Daniel

Experience

Julie represented a Canadian client whose Credit Agreement needed to be amended to permit the client to complete a project in the United States. Completing the project on time would save the client a significant amount of money at the state level. In working with U.S. counsel and the lender’s counsel, Julie and her team completed the amendment on time to facilitate the client’s project. Because of the tight deadline involved in this transaction, consensus was required from a number of parties.

“My client was pleased and greatly relieved that this transaction was completed within the required time frame.”
