In a legal career as a trial lawyer that spans nearly four decades, Thomas G. Parachini has represented clients in a wide range of commercial, business and tort disputes. He currently represents a large American automobile manufacturer in contract and commercial disputes. He also has broad experience in consumer financial services issues and litigation for a large captive automobile finance company including defending consumer class action litigation. In the past, Tom has had an active product liability and professional liability defense practice, and he still does work in this area.
“I think it is important to remember that each case is unique and not to simply pattern a strategy based on what worked before in a similar situation. I believe in always challenging my assumptions about what at first may appear to be the critical legal and factual issues in each new case.”
Thomas G. Parachini
Experience
Over the past five years, Tom has successfully defended an automotive finance company in consumer class-action litigation in Maryland. He was able to convince the court to dismiss a half dozen class-action lawsuits by being aggressive and innovative and by working hard not to just copy what had been successfully done before. This approach encouraged him and his team to try fresh approaches and be more creative.
“I am a practical person and a good problem solver. I work to make problems easier, not harder.”
