Miller Canfield Mourns the Loss of Al Wallace
With great sadness, Miller Canfield announces that real estate attorney G. Alan Wallace died on Sept. 26, 2020. He was 40 years old. The announcement was made by CEO Michael McGee.
"Al will be deeply missed. He was known for being a very fine lawyer, and also for being a friend and confidante to everyone, including judges and mayors, congressmen and business leaders," McGee said. "Al had a knack for making anyone talking to him feel like they were the most important person in the world he could be talking to. More importantly, he was a great colleague, a great father and husband, and a great friend."
Wallace joined the Lansing, Michigan, office in 2010 and quickly became a key member of the team focusing on economic development. He loved nothing more than a challenge. Among them was the American Center for Mobility at Willow Run, a project that Wallace led, which is now the site for the preeminent testing and development center for autonomous and connected vehicles.
He leaves behind his wife Stacy and their children Emery, Luke and Jacob. A memorial service will be held on Oct. 4, 2020, at the family’s home.
